The business of leasing your property is not without risks and challenges, and Duska always seeks to understand her client’s needs and relate to them before proposing workable solutions. She has a genuine care factor and loves what she does.
Duska grew up in a small town in Former Yugoslavia, and as a young child dreamed of moving to Australia with her aunt who use to visit. In 1992, Duska’s family arrived to Melbourne with bags of photo albums and hearts full dreams. The experience of the family starting a new life, without many belongings, formed the basis of Duska’s relentless pursuit of success. Always taking the road less travelled to seize every opportunity and challenge thrown her way.
From a young age, Duska had a thirst for knowledge and the drive for continuous improvement in both her personal and professional life, backed by a disciplined “get the job done” attitude. This led to her getting involved in the fitness industry, working as a group fitness instructor while completing a double degree in accounting and finance at Monash University.
Duska went on to attain a Chartered Accounting qualification while working in business advisory services in Melbourne city. She also developed a keen interest in taxation law and worked in the field of tax consulting with a large accounting firm.
Property management was possibly an unusual career move for an accountant, but it turns out the work ethic required is very similar. With the accounting and business experience a natural fit, Duska decided to join the family business at Del Real Estate.
Today, Duska loves sharing the office space with her family; brother Neb, father Ranko, mum Milena, husband Theo, and the awesome extended family of our team members at Del Real Estate.
Outside of work, Duska loves being with her two little angels (daughter and son), sharing time with the same family she works with (yes, really!) and pursuing her fitness regime.
Duska brings a contagious energy to life and the office each day and when you meet her, you quickly see that she is Australia’s most passionate property manager.
As one of the business owners at Del Real Estate, Duska oversees the property management department at Del Real Estate. She has an active day-to-day involvement in all the nuts and bolts of the rental process and over the past 10 years has personally helped more than 1,500 investors to build and maintain their property portfolios and increase their wealth.
